'Are you in' deja vu
by Satans little helper incd-wow has just got round to delivering my latest purchase - morning view from incubus.
so i'm listening to the album (which is pretty good by the way in a bluesy/rock rhcp sort of way) when a really funky track starts playing that i swear i have heard before.
it's a track called 'are you in' and i would swear i have heard the chillis play it but i cannot find it on bssm or californication.

Anyone heard of the track and a different band playing it or am I off my head? -

Jade that looks fantastic, the only problem is that I'd want to spend much more than a week there!

we spent our honeymoon in Cancun at an all inclusive 5* hotel. It was the biggest waste of 3 grand I have ever had. The best I can say about it was that the diving was good and I got my PADI advanced qualification. Way too touristy and Americanised (not that I have anything against Americans) and not the real Mexico at all.
I'd consider New York, or maybe Boston but I really want to go to Thailand except that needs more than a week.

Gods who could kick Jehovah's arse
by Sirona inenglishmans "other gods" thread got me thinking.
do jehovahs witnesses truly believe that jehovah is the all powerful?
yahweh was just "one of the gods" in times gone by, who was promoted by the jews into "the one true god".. there are plenty of gods who could (imo) kick jehovahs arse.

Interesting that the site doesn't list Jehoover.
I reckon Raa could kick his arse although he was snoozing the day the 10 plagues were happening and I seem to remember that Jehovah had alot of problems with Baal back in the day

sounds cool, when I flew to Montreal we stopped there to refuel and the scenery was awesome flying over it. IIRC the flight would only be about 5 or 6 hours from London, not too bad.
Interestingly the NS government website has a search engine titled 'ask Joe Howe' I wonder if one of my forebears emigrated a while ago?

We've recently been to Paris and I am about to spend a couple of months working there so that's out, we both hate touristy stuff and love independant travelling and exploring places so I'm looking for somewhere reasonably priced that I can take the better half for a week which will keep us busy without leaving us feeling like we should have stayed longer.

The straw that broke the camel's back
by Satans little helper inyou know, the last little thing that blew your patience out of the water and forced you to face up to the fact that you were in a cult that doesn't believe in the bible so much as it believes in it's own power structure?.
for me it was beards.
stupid i know and possibly the most trivial of things to be 'stumbled' over but to me it was the epitomy of what was wrong with the witnesses - arbitrary rules poking their noses into the lives of people where they had no business.

Are you a doer or a talker?
by Maverick inthere are three kinds of people in the world.
doers; say what they want to do and most times get it done.
talkers; who think they are doers, but something always happens to prevent them from actually doing the things they say they want to do.

I'm both. I generally talk about doing something until I get my arse in gear and get around to doing it.
My wife and I decided thaat we were going to move to Australia 2 years ago when we were having dinner watching the sun go down over Ayers rock one night. Two years later that talk (and the constant talk about it since) has transformed into action as I have finally put the paper work in to get my visa.
I procrastinate, I hate DIY but Clare has forced my hand into starting a load of jobs in the house. I would much rather waste hours on end playing on the computer but occassionally feel spurred to action and can be quite productive. I've also travelled independantly to the far east and Canada so I'm no couch potato.
Most people drift through life being comfortable and not challenging their boundaries. If you are happy with your life as it is then why not? Personally I have ambitions beyond that but would never knock people for taking the easy option.

Essay on the End Times - Duelling E-watchman pt 1
by czarofmischief inthis is a response to e-watchman, and it is written from a jehovah's witness perspective.
feel free to copy it and send it around to anyone you know who is perhaps falling under our latest apocalypto prophet's spell.. czar.
"the end is not yet...".

Daniel had some really good acid. Peyote is easy to make from cactus in the wilderness.
It's interesting that any cultish literature uses the 'only the enlightened will understand' tack to overome the obvious bullshitness of their claims
